Dismaland ‘Bemusement Park’, Banksy’s theme-park inspired art-experience, has just finished its five week run in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset.
Billed as Britain’s most disappointing new visitor attraction, 28,000 tickets sold out each week in just 30 minutes with thousands more from Britain and Europe queuing in miserable conditions to get in on the day. As you’d expect, demand was such that – allegedly J – their website crashed, just to add to the whole experience. And wasn’t the hype wonderful?
So how come an art show is creating this frenzy?
jump! scrambled for tickets and duly visited. We were more than disappointed. Which is a good thing.
